1Q84 – Haruki Murakami

What I love

A book about books

takes and loses me between

truth and delusion.

What I don’t

You paint the image,

then tell me why you chose green.

Leave me room to muse.

  1. Thanks 🙂
I love all the connections between the two books, and their subtlety makes them all the more interesting when you notice them. I had just reread 1984 a few months before I got this book, which was excellent since it was still fresh in my mind. The first book I read after 1Q84 was The Hunger Games, which is also a very interesting comparison. Another new interpretation of the dystopia novel but with an entirely different audience and literary tools.
    Thanks for reading!
